Train the Visual Side of Baseball
Train the Visual Side of Baseball
A guided 6-week training program that helps developing baseball athletes build four visual-performance skills: Focus, Accuracy, Motor Integration and Endurance. Learn the skill. Train it. Measure it. Then begin connecting it to baseball.

Seeing Clearly Is Only the Starting Point
Baseball asks an athlete to do more than read an eye chart. The athlete has to find useful information, judge where it is, make a decision while the body is moving, and keep performing as challenge increases. FAME gives those training demands a simple language and a repeatable progression.
SEE. DECIDE. MOVE.
Four Skills. One Training Language.
Control where visual attention goes. Hold a target, search with purpose, and shift between targets without rushing.
Build consistent binocular alignment, near/far control, depth judgment and target localization.
Combine what you see with a choice and a controlled physical response.
Maintain task quality as duration, distraction, movement and visual load increase.
We do not start by promising a better batting average. We start by teaching athletes how to perform and measure specific visual tasks. Weeks 1–4 build the four FAME skills. Week 5 introduces baseball-specific cues and movements. Week 6 repeats the starting profile so the athlete can see what changed and choose the next development goal.
The program combines physical training tools with step-by-step digital instruction. Athletes do not have to invent the drills or guess how to progress them.
Week 0 is a free introduction for athletes and parents. Learn what NDVPerformance means by performance vision, meet the FAME framework, review safe training habits, and complete a simple Starting Profile. Then decide whether the six-week program is right for your athlete.
Visual and visual-cognitive skills can be trained and measured on specific tasks. Research also suggests that transfer to sport is more credible when training becomes representative of sport-specific information and actions. That is why FAME separates foundational skill acquisition from baseball transfer instead of assuming that generic drills automatically improve game statistics.
NDVPerformance builds on the sports-vision training principles developed through the work of Dr. Bill Harrison and Ryan Harrison and organizes them into a structured, measurable home-training experience for today’s developing athlete.
